Hello! I hope that everyone has been doing good. The past couple of weeks have been very busy. I had a birthday, of course there was Valentine's Day, I had a friend in town so I did lots of stuff around town, work has been busy, and I had an SCA project.

First I want to say thank you to everyone for my bday wishes, I appreciate it. I had company the weekend before my birthday so I went out and had fun. My actually birthday was pretty much just another day, work and home! But it was still cool...some co-workers bombarded my office and sung happy bday, so that was nice.

So like I said, I had company in town, so of course we tried to fit in as much as D/FW as we could. Here are several pictures I took around town:

This is Bass Hall in downtown Ft. Worth

American Airlines Center & Victory Park, really cool area in
downtown Dallas. This is also where the Mavericks and Stars play.

Just a cool looking picture

So I still have a job, whoo hooo! Work has been pretty busy lately, which I like. The work hasn't been the funnest though. I spent 6 weeks working on a huge presentation that recapped all of our training during peak season, which was October through December. It was basically an analysis of production and accuracy in each of our departments and how training had an effect on it. Luckily we saw that training had a pretty huge effect on things; production and accuracy rose quite a bit, so that says a lot about the training department, and hopefully a good reason to keep me around! I got lots of praise for the report so that was pretty nice.

I work part time for an organization that focuses on engaging young people in conservation and service. Our program here has 12 high students involved and once a month, we do some type of service project at a local park. Our first project in January was held in the Trinity Forest, just south of downtown Dallas, doing some trail clearning. Here area few pictures:

And as I said in my last post, I'm cooking more at home. Here was my favorite meal from this past week, a grilled turkey, swiss, and pesto sandwich, w/ fresh cut pineapple.

Have a great week!!

Hey. Great pics. Impressed with the work w/the teens and the trail clearing. Hard wk. Thinking of following a long time dream of hiking for days at a to die for place. Checking into a group trip to Glacier Nat. Park Aug. 10-15. Keep it on the backburner, you may want to come.
