#5 - A Walk Around the Neighborhood

One of the things I love to do is go for a walk. I've done this for years - it's a great way to relax, calm down from a long day, and just think. Plus it's good exercise. I've had several places for great walks - River Legacy Park, around campus at UT Arlington, Murray Park in Little Rock, the Big Dam Bridge over the Arkansas River...all great places. One of the best things about my current walk is that it's right out my front door an around my neighborhood. I live around several other apartments, in the middle of an industrial park. So the streets aren't busy in the evenings and I feel it's a very safe area. Whether I'm walking near the Trinity Rail Express station w/ the horizon of Arlington in the background, or around the American Airlines Headquarters where planes are flying near overhead as they descend to their landing at D/FW Airport, my walking route the past 8 months as been one of my favorites, and I believe the thing I'll miss the most. Everything else I've named that I'll miss, I can still do - still go to happy hour, still go to River Legacy, and definitely still eat Simply Burgers (this coming Thurs is free food and drinks!)...but it is very unlikely I will just walk through the neighborhood I lived at. Here are a few pictures from my walk this week.

The TRE headed to Dallas. It's hard to see, but the white dome rising from the ground - Cowboys Stadium

A blurry Arlington skyline - you can see Six Flags - the lights on the far right are at Rangers Ballpark
